Senators to join National Assembly's Special Kashmir Committee

The National Assembly's Special Kashmir Committee will soon include members from the Senate, marking a significant step towards enhancing collaboration on the Kashmir issue. 

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the National Assembly Secretariat has officially written to the Senate, requesting the nomination of six senators for the committee.

The sources said this decision will be formalised in the Senate's upcoming session, where a resolution will be passed to approve the inclusion of these senators in the Kashmir Committee. 

The sources said the initiative is expected to strengthen the committee's efforts in addressing the critical issues surrounding Kashmir.

Additionally, sources have revealed that the ruling party, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) parliamentarian Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has been added to the committee.

A closed-door meeting of the Kashmir Committee is scheduled to take place today, where further discussions and strategies are expected to be outlined.
