Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Tuesday said the Indian ruling BJP member has announced head money of Rs20 million for his 'Butcher of Gujarat' remarks against PM Modi.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto during an interview with the American TV channel Bloomberg said the announcement of head money showed the mindset of Modi’s party members.

He said that he just stated a “historical reality”, he did not invent that term, to infect the Indian Muslims of Gujarat following the Gujarat riots.

Upon being asked about the uproar caused in both countries following Bilawal’s remarks, he stated that the protests that resulted in India are their right but they crossed the line when they officially announced a bounty over the neighbouring country’s foreign minister head.

He continued that the Indian Government has crossed a line and it has become normalized. This troubles him when he is engaging and interacting with an international medium.

Pak-US cooperation

US Secretary of State Anthony J Blanken and FM Bilawal had a telephonic conversation talk and the former vowed to continue support for the people of Pakistan as they recover from the recent devastating floods.

Secretary Blankenship and FM Bilawal Zardari expressed their mutual hope for a fruitful international conference on Climate Resilient Pakistan in January and discussed the need for close coordination, according to sources.

The secretary also condoled the loss of lives in the recent terrorist attacks and expressed the US resolve to continue unwavering support to Pakistan in its fight against terrorism, the insiders added.
