Returning Officer of NA-75 (Daska) Asif Hussain on Friday night said that staff of 14 polling stations went missing.
According to a private TV channel, Asif Hussain said that staff of 14 polling stations went missing. No telephonic contact was made with them, he added. He said that their mobile phones were going off. He said that the staff did not turn up until now.
PML-N leaders Ahsan Iqbal, Atta Tarrar, Uzma Bukhari and others reached the office of Returning Officer. They feared that rigging was being is being done as staff of 14 polling stations went missing.
According to unofficial results of 292 polling stations, PML-N candidate Nausheen Iftikhar is leading with 84,391 votes. PTI candidate is not far behind with 80,299 votes.
Earlier, two people got killed and scores got injured during the firing and clashes between the rival parties in Daska. This also led to the suspension of the polling process at some polling stations as Rangers were deployed to control the situation.
