State Bank issues new guidelines for digital payments

In order to eliminate the chances of forgery relating to payment cards, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) issued new guidelines to the banks on Saturday for the purpose, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the new guidelines, from now on only Euro Master Cards, visa chip or payment cards with pin will be acceptable by the banks for digital payments.

The SBP has made banks across the country bound to implement all fresh directives by June 30, 2021.
