The leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) met in the President's House to deliberate upon the matters of banning PTI and applying Article 6 to the former president and prime minister.

According to sources, the leaders from both sides agreed to continue the talks. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Nazir Tarar, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Ahad Cheema, Irfan Qadir and Attaullah Tarar represented the PML-N, they said, adding that the PPP team consisted of Farooq H Naik, Nayyar Bokhari and Sherry Rehman.

The insiders added Attorney General Mansoor Awan also participated in the talks and briefed the participants on the case and judgment of the reserved seats.

They said the 90-minute meeting mulled over legal and political aspects and the PML-N took the ally into confidence on its decision regarding the PTI.

The legal team of the PPP expressed concern about the impact of these decisions in the future and stressed the Muslim League-N should take it into confidence before taking any decision, the sources said, adding the PPP emphasized it was not appropriate to make announcements without the conversation of PPP leaders.

The PPP asked for consultation in the party and approval from the CEC on government decisions and supported the review appeal in the Supreme Court on reserved seats.
