ECP decides to relaunch vote registration process

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to restart the registration process for voting, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
According to the ECP sources, citizens can get their votes registered, transferred and corrected till July 13 next.
The new voter lists will be frozen after the due date of July 13.
Citizens can get vote related information by sending SMS to 8300.
The number of voters in Lahore has increased by 1254,526.
The number of male voters in Lahore has increased by 538,000 while the number of female voters by 704,248.
Compared to the previous general elections, 1254,526 new voters will be able to exercise their right to vote in rural areas.
In the last general election, the number of voters was 5397,622.
According to the voter lists, as many as 6652,148 voters will exercise their right to vote in the upcoming general elections.
The total number of voters in Lahore is 6652,148.
The number of male voters is 3550,278 while the number of female voters is 3101,870.
The total number of voters in General Election 2018 was 5397,622.
In the last general election, the number of male voters was 3012,260 while the number of female voters was 2386,312.
The general elections are to be held on 14 seats of the National Assembly and 30 seats of the provincial assembly.
