Cypher case: FIA summons Azam Khan for investigation on Oct 25

To probe the facts behind the US threat in cypher and the PM Office audio leaks, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has started investigations and summoned former premier Imran Khan’s then-principal secretary Azam Khan on Tuesday, Oct 25.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the FIA’s counter-terrorism wing served a summon notice to Azam Khan to hold an inquiry to him into the matter as his audio tape related to the cypher issue was leaked a couple of weeks ago.
Former premier and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has claimed that a ‘threat of regime change’ against PTI’s government was mentioned in the US cypher while in the leaked video, a conversation between Imran Khan and Azam Khan could be heard manipulate this cypher in their favour.
On the matter, the Interior Ministry of Rana Sanaullah Khan directed the agency to hold an inquiry into the matter and now it has directed Azam Khan to appear before the investigators at 1:00 pm on October 25.
