Two Wapda employees injured in Khanpur attack

Two employees of Wapda were injured when they were attacked by local residents of a Khanpur locality where they went to disconnect electricity meters over non-payment on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
A Wapda recovery team landed in Qasim Maitla town to disconnect meters when the influential of the area and other beat them up, XEN MEPCO Iqbal Bhutto said, adding they tortured them with lathis and batons.
Saddar Police Station have registered on the application of the injured Wapda employees.
Iqbal Bhutto said they have no intention to pardon the accused. The law will take its course, he added.
