One dead in firing on prison van in Kharian

A prisoner was killed and three including a police official suffered injuries as an unidentified miscreant opened fire at a prisoner van in Kharian on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Reportedly, the prisoner van came under attack in the premises of the Sessions Court in Kharian due to which a prisoner identified as Sheraz died on the spot and three wounded including a policeman identified as Gul Muhammad, Shahzaib and Babar respectively. They rushed to the nearby hospital for medical treatment. 

Police, however, managed to arrest the attacker but the incident of such nature has raised eyebrows on the performance of police department.
