Homegrown mobile phone companies have slashed new smartphone model prices by Rs5,000 to Rs10,000, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

According to the shopkeepers, this decrease has been observed after the dollar value came down.

Consumers, visiting the mobile phone market said that new mobile phones have become cheaper, but the prices of used phones have not decreased.

The shopkeepers said that the prices of mobile phones of famous foreign brands have not been reduced yet.
