OGDCL announces discovery of gas reserves in Rahim Yar Khan

The Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has announced the discovery of large gas reserves in Rahim Yar Khan (RYK) on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In a letter to the Stock Exchange, the OGDCL said that large gas reserves were found in Chak 214-1 of Rahim Yar Khan district in Punjab.
“The OGDCL is the sole operator of Mari East Block with a 100 per cent stake”, announces the company.
The company drilled 1,851 meters in the well on June 29, it added OGDC said.
It also is revealed that 1.1 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd) of gas production will be produced in the Dongan Formation.
While gas production at Suiman Limestone is 1.31 million mmscfd.
