In an operation led by FIA's Islamabad zone, three employees of the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council (PVMC) have been arrested following the cancellation of their pre-arrest bail, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Friday.

The arrested individuals include former council secretary Dr. Shabnam Firdous, Steno Sajjad Ali Khan, and Upper Division Clerk Umar Mir.

The officials were found guilty of embezzling over Rs. 2.8 million from the council's contributory provident funds.

Investigations revealed the accused forged the former president's signatures on several cheques and manipulated documents to get bills approved.
