Khalilur Rehman Qamar case: Medical report confirms torture on Amina Urooj

The medical report of Amina Urooj, the accused in the kidnapping of writer Khalilur Rehman Qamar, has been submitted to the Lahore High Court, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

Accused Amina Urooj also appeared in court along with her lawyer.

The court called for the ultrasound and X-ray report of the accused, Amina Arooj, on August 27.

Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh heard the petition of Amina Urooj's mother, Zeenat Bibi.

Dr. Faraz appeared along with the Punjab Government Law Officer and Amna Arooj's medical report.

Additional Advocate General Punjab submitted the medical report regarding Amina Urooj to the court.

According to the medical report, there is evidence of torture in 19 different parts of the body of the accused, and the accused has to undergo two different tests.

There were marks of violence on the body of the accused before May 31, the report says.

The accused was kicked in the stomach, and the woman also bled due to the violence, reports said.

It was submitted in the petition that Amina Urooj was subjected to severe physical and mental torture by the police during physical remand.

The petitioner made a plea in the petition that, due to the violence, Amina Urooj is suffering from severe internal and external injuries.

When Amina Urooj's mother went to meet her in jail, she was told that Amina Urooj had been taken to the hospital, the text of the petition says.

Amina Urooj's mother found out that Amina Urooj had been taken to the investigating officer of the Organised Crime Unit, and the petitioner took the plea.

It was requested that an order be issued to produce Amina Urooj before the court.

An order should be issued for Amna Urooj to undergo medical treatment, it was further requested.

Further hearings in the case will be held on August 27.
