Eleven members of the royal family of UAE have arrived in Balochistan for hunting of the rare bird species houbara bustard.
Balochistan government officials met the group at the airport, after which the Royal family was escorted to Nok Kundi by police and FC forces.
The houbara bustard is a desert bird whose meat is prized among Arab sheikhs as an aphrodisiac.
Pakistan gives out permits every year for hunting of rare bird species to royal family members of the Arab countries. Sindh last month permitted Qatar Prince Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabor al Thani to hunt in the Jati tehsil of Sujawal. In January, Governor of Tabuk Prince Fahad bin Sultan Al-Saud came to Balochistan hunt houbara bustards, officials had said.
