The Global Fund has allocated over $280 million to fight HIV, Tuberculosis (TB) and Malaria in Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

According to the Health Ministry officials, the Global Fund will provide $60.5 million to fight HIV, $180 million to fight TB, and approximately $30.5 million to control Malaria.

The Global Fund estimated that the money for HIV, TB, and Malaria would be spent between 2024 and 2026.

On the other hand, experts have said that these three diseases are on the rise in Pakistan despite billions of dollars being provided by the Global Fund.

It is worth mentioning here that the World Health Organisation (WHO) has placed Pakistan at the fourth place among the countries with the highest number of TB patients this year.

Moreover, the number of malaria cases reported this year has been doubled as compared to 2021.
