Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman has claimed that PTI was ready to dissolve the provincial government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for a fresh election in the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Talking to media, Fazl said JUI-F has formed a committee to negotiate with PTI. He said the committee will be headed by Kamran Murtaza while members included Maulana Lutfur Rehman, Fazl Ghafoor, Aslam Ghori and Maulana Amjad. He said the relations with PTI were being normalized.
Fazl demanded that all politicians including founder PTI should not be prosecuted.
He said, “If the army is indifferent to the election, everything will be fine”. He demanded parliamentary and local body elections should be held simultaneously and the concept of supervisory setup should be abolished.
Fazl said without neutral and transparent elections, there will be no peace or economic stability in the country.
JUI-F chief said the people of Pakistan were longing for peace from 2001 to 2024. He said the basic need of the country was peace while political stability was essential for economic stability, without it the country cannot move forward.
He warned that the country would no longer be able to afford any more adventure.
He said during the current set-up, the PML-N and PPP were helpless.
Fazl said JUI-F had advised that the PML-N and PPP should not take the government. He said now PPP and PML-N were not fulfilling the responsibility of the government.
He said martial law and emergency would no longer work as circumstances and powers were now out of their hands. He said if the establishment did not change its policy, the country will not work.
They want to make the institutions and parliament as their employees. He said JUI-F wanted to see the army strong on the right track. He said “if you want to impose emergency, form the parliament of the parties of your choice, they will not allow it”.
JUI-F stands with people and peace and we will deal with the rioters. He said the political facilities or privileges that I get as a politician should be the same for all.
