The inquiry commission set up to probe the Broadsheet saga has completed its investigation, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

The Commission of Inquiry on Broadsheet, led by Justice (retd) Azmat Saeed Shaikh, has prepared a 100-page report based on its investigation which will be submitted to the government on Monday or Wednesday, the TV channel reported, quoting sources.

The statements of different personalities and the documentary evidence collected during the investigation are compiled separately in the report, the sources said.

The Commission was instituted in January and it launched its formal probe on February 9.

There were earlier reports that the PTI government was not extending any cooperation to the inquiry commission. According to sources, only National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had provided the relevant record to the Commission of Inquiry on Broadsheet. The panel had yet to receive the information it has sought from the office of the Attorney General of Pakistan (AGP), the sources added.

The inquiry commission had recorded statements of Ahmar Bilal Sufi and Shahid Baig, who was Director Audit and Accounts at Pakistan High Commission in London at the time of the payment.

On January 30 last, the federal government had notified the appointment of Justice (retd) Azmat Saeed Shaikh as the head of an inquiry commission to investigate into Broadsheet scandal.
