Governor amends Muslim family law ordinance, Khatm-e-Nabuwat oath made mandatory

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar has amended the Muslim Family Law Ordinance 1961, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.
The amendment makes mandatory the Khatm-e-Nabuwat oath in the marriage certificate.

Serial Nos.25 and 26 have been added to Form No 11 of the marriage certificate. The Punjab government issued the notification.
Punjab Regulation Department has issued notification.
A copy of the notification has been sent to Governor Punjab, Administration Secretaries and other agencies.
A couple of days ago, the Punjab government has included the Khatm-e-Nabuwat column to the marriage certificate and the Punjab local government department issued a notification. the bride, bridegroom, Nikkah Khawan and witnesses will be required to present their Khtam-e-Nabuwat certificates at the time of the Nikkah.
