Pakistani actress Dananeer Mobeen’s almsgiving video has been making headlines, but not for the reasons she might have hoped.
Dananeer posted a mini-vlog on her Instagram handle featuring herself alongside her showbiz friends Anika Zulfiqar, Parishae Adnan, and another individual.
The girls gang planned to get a bunch of water bottles and plenty of biryani packs to give out to those in need during Ramadan, calling it a 'fun activity'.
After this giving session, Dananeer shared a clip from their praying time.
However, instead of receiving praise and support, the video has stirred up controversy and garnered backlash.

The video gained more traction for different reasons than their kind gesture. People on the internet began criticizing the girls for not wearing dupattas even during Ramadan, their fake accents that were annoying, calling it a fun activity, and some even noticed they had nail polish on while praying, which is forbidden.
Additionally, they questioned the necessity of showcasing themselves as helping others in the video.
The feedback that emerged on the post shows that public figures need to be extra cautious about the content they share to ensure it aligns with their intentions and resonates positively with their audience.
On the works front, Dananeer is currently featured in a Ramadan show called 'Very Filmy' with Ameer Gillani, but it hasn't been well-received by viewers who are calling for a ban on the series due to its heavy focus on Bollywood movies.
