Use of polythene bags banned in Karachi

On the recommendation of Planning and Development Department of Government of Sindh, Administrator Karachi Murtaza Wahab on Saturday imposed a complete ban on the use of polythene bags in the city, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab endorsed a resolution which calls for ban on use and sale of polythene bags.
In the light of today’s decision, action will be taken against anyone manufacturing, selling or purchasing these bags after June 15.
