Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Atif Khan said on Thursday that he has received jailed former prime minister Imran Khan’s message regarding the November 24 protest through the former first lady Bushra Bibi.
Talking to the media in Mardan, Atif Khan said that Imran Khan has instructed him to prepare for the Nov 24 protest the way he used to prepare for the PTI rallies. He said that he has no issue in joining the protest led by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. He said that he could have differences with any party leader, but these differences don’t matter when it comes to joining hands for the cause of Imran Khan’s release from jail. He said there are no differences on Imran Khan’s release. He said, “I raise my concerns at the party platform; it’s not appropriate to discuss them in the media.”
Atif Khan said that he is fully focused on the Nov 24 protest, which is aimed at pushing for Imran Khan’s release from jail. He said that Imran Khan has sent him a message from jail that he will personally look into the notices issued to him by the party. He said that talks for the sake of talks are not acceptable; the Nov 24 protest will not be called off until orders for Imran Khan’s release are issued.
