Hostel manager arrested for attempted rape in Lahore

Police in Lahore on Monday arrested a man, who attempted to rape a woman residing at a private hostel in Green Town locality of the city, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
The woman had dialed 15 to lodge a complaint.
In her complaint, she said that the hostel manager asked her to come to his office where he tried to rape her. “It was after a great difficulty that I managed to come out of the room,” she added.
The spokesperson for the Virtual Women’s Police Station said that the Force responded immediately and sent a team to the hostel to rescue the woman besides arresting the suspect.
She advised women to dial 15 and then press 2 in case of an emergency so that they could contact the women’s police station.
“Women can also lodge a complaint on the Women’s Safety App through a video call or chat,” the spokesperson added.
