NAB files application in accountability court to reopen 81 cases of corrupt politicians

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Wednesday filed an application in the accountability court to reopen 81 corruption references worth billions of rupees after the Islamabad High Court declared the NAB amendments null and void.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the applications were submitted by the NAB chairman in the court of Judge Muhammad Bashir on Wednesday.
The channel report said the NAB has appealed to the court to reopen the references against former prime ministers Yusuf Raza Gilani and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, former finance ministers Ishaq Dar and Miftah Ismail, and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.
