PTI founder Imran Khan has announced that if PTI was not allowed to hold rally in Lahore tomorrow then PTI will turn it into protest drive as the government was not allowing them to hold rally in Lahore during the last one and half year, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Talking to a group of journalists in Adiala Jail Rawalpindi, Imran Khan said that if the Deputy Commissioner of Lahore does not allow the rally, PTI will protest against government at Minar-e-Pakistan.

The former Prime Minister said that holding of rally was PTI’s basic right. He urged the apex court to allow PTI to hold rally in Lahore if it wanted to restore democracy and civil liberties in the country. He said destruction of democracy means devastation of freedom.

Imran Khan said PTI was not allowed rally even before the general elections and PTI is still being barred.

Imran Khan claimed that the establishment had given him a guarantee to hold rally in Islamabad but later hurdles were created in it. PTI founder said that “we were deceived by establishment about the Islamabad rally”. He said during the martial law of General Musharraf, it was not like what was being done now. Musharraf's time elections were free and fair compared to 2024. Musharraf did not ban the media and public meetings”.

The former Prime Minister allegedly claimed that “CJP Qazi Faiz Issa and Chief Election Commissioner collaborated in rigging during general elections 2024.

Imran Khan said during elections, the Chief Election Commissioner played the ball and Faiz Issa dropped the catch. He claimed that all PTI petitions were being rejected while government’s petitions were being accepted in the courts.

Imran claimed that Qazi Issa is a direct beneficiary of the proposed constitutional amendments as he wanted extension in his service.

PTI founder said that “Qazi Issa's wife gave a statement against him, therefore CJP should disassociate himself from PTI cases”.

The former Prime Minster said “there should have been an investigation on Rawalpindi’s former Commissioner's statement, instead, he was disappeared”.

PTI founder said “in general elections, it became clear where the nation stands, the nation was standing at one side while small ruling elite was destroying democracy and the Supreme Court for their vested interest.”

PTI founder claimed that he used to talk a lot about Hamoodur Rahman Commission Report because the same situation exists in the country even today. He said that if the state does not look into it, the situation may get worse”.

He said that keeping in view the current situation it can be said that the situation of the country was not bad even during the era of dictators Musharraf and Zia-ul-Haq.
