Way of floor-crossing should be blocked: Raja Pervaiz

National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf said Friday that the floor-crossing was prohibited and its way should be blocked with consultations of the parliamentarians, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
“There are some matters that need to be looked democratically. It is floor-crossing if you disobey the party chief for the election of prime minister. It is also floor-crossing if you deviate from the party policy on the financial bill,” he stated.
“How do you see the recent floor-crossing?” a journalist put a question to the National Assembly speaker.
“Where did the floor-crossing happen?” asked Raja Pervaiz Ashraf.
“The procedure for floor-crossing is stated in the Constitution. The party head writes to the Speaker at floor-crossing. The Speaker then sends the complaint of the party head to the election commission after scrutiny,” he added.
