The people have reposed trust in the leadership of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, federal information minister Federal Minister Attaullah Tarar said on Sunday.
The people have rejected the narrative of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the minister said while addressing a press conference.
He added: “The PTI supporters have confirmed by staying out of the polling process that they are disappointed
“The PML-N’s lead in the by-election is due to its successful policies.
“We will live up to the public expectations and relieve the people by fixing economic woes.”
The minister flayed the PTI founder, saying, "The False statements are being made from jail to defame the country. The PTI founder’s politics of lies, hatred and hypocrisy have been rejected.”
He stressed that the PML-N-led coalition government is striving to put the country’s economy back on track.
The government has been bringing economic reforms, he said, adding that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has done excellent work in Punjab.
Earlier, the federal minister condemned the killing of a party worker in Narowal.
A PML-N worker sustained a head injury when PTI workers attacked him with clubs. He was rushed to a hospital but he succumbed.
Ata Tarar said the PTI policy of violence is unambiguous and showed that they opted for violence to win the vote.
