As Prime Minister Imran Khan has claimed many times that opposition was seeking an NRO from him and he will not give any NRO to the opposition, now the opposition has come up with the claims that the government has sought NRO for many of their corruption-tainted projects.
A day after the government decided to tell the masses how the opposition is blackmailing the government for the NRO and Information Minister Shibli Faraz had held a press briefing in this regard, the main opposition party Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz also held a media briefing Tuesday to expose the government’s efforts for NRO from the opposition regarding corruption in mega projects.
PML-N leader and MNA Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha in a media briefing waved some documents claiming to be a proof of the fact how the government sought NRO from the opposition.
He said the government representatives have come to them asking for a clean chit for the illegal allotments for BRT, Mallam Jabba, Billion Tree Tsunami and Granite projects.
He said Law Minister Farogh Nasim has come himself for the approval of that bill.
Ranjha said the beneficiaries of this bill are sitting in the Prime Minister House, cabinet and in federal and provincial assemblies.
He claimed that even the government begged to them for some such things.
He said the opposition has never demanded the NRO and would never give one to the government as well.
