20 tonnes of acid spills after tanker-tractor collision in Hafizabad

An oil tanker and tractor-trolley collided Saturday in Hafizabad spilling tonnes of acid on the road while rescue authorities launched an operation to limit the spread, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The accident occurred near Jalalpur Bhattian where an oil tanker carrying 20 tonnes of sulfuric acid was going from Shujabad Multan to Ali Pur Chattha when it collided head on with a tractor-trolley in Hafizabad.
Rescue 1122 launched a rescue operation to clear the Sargodha Road Corridor.
Separately, driver and two other people were injured when a tanker filled with oil overturned on the road. Rescue 1122 reached the spot and shifted the oil into another tanker and rushed the injured to the hospital.
