Stage actors and comedians Naseem Vicky and Agha Majid escaped an armed attack when their car was fired upon in Faisalabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Their car was targeted on Rajbah Road in Faisalabad by two unknown gunmen. The car was damaged in the attack.
Naseem Vicky, Agha Majid and Sabeena Theatre contractor Raja Tahir were in the car when it was sprayed with bullets.
They got a case registered at Rail Bazaar Police Station against unidentified gunmen.
Naseem Vicky said that they (attackers) cannot get a theatre shut down by harassing the actors. “You cannot scare us. We earn livelihood for our children through this profession,” he added.
Faisalabad City Police Officer Ghulam Mubashar Mekan took notice of the gun attack on the actors. He ordered the concerned police officers to arrest the culprits as soon as possible.
Later, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar also took notice of the firing incidents on the actors and sought a report from Faisalabad's regional police officer (RPO).
