Foreign Minister and Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has expressed his resolve to construct two million weather-resilient houses for the flood-affected people so that they could survive even if another natural calamity like floods hit the province.
He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony held in Larkana on Friday for distributing house owner rights certificates among flood-affected people. He also vowed to provide ownership rights to the flood-stricken people.
He said that good days have started for the flood-stricken people today.
PPP Chairman admitted that there is high inflation, unemployment, and poverty in the country, adding that they have to make the common man of Pakistan economically stable.
He pledged to adopt the ideology of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto to every nook and cranny of the Sindh districts
PPP chairman said that they are building such houses which will not be damaged by future floods.
“Ownership rights of houses are also being given to flood victims,” Bilawal Bhutto said, adding if the project of two million houses in the province is completed, the condition of the flood survivors will improve.
Criticizing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf economic policies, he said Pakistan can only be economically stabilized by making the common man financially strong. He asserted that the PPP has turned a catastrophe into an opportunity.
The PPP chairman said that people sitting in Islamabad have no idea how many economic problems people are going through.
He added that this is the thought and ideology of the People’s Party (PPP).
Bilawal Bhutto remarked that the whole family will be financially stable if we focus on empowering women. He observed, “When you strengthen a woman, you will strengthen the whole family. The houses given to the people are their full owners, they are their own assets which they can use on their own.”
He said that five thousand women owners of Larkana are giving with rights and will give in all districts of Sindh.
He will start such projects in Larkana after winning the PPP election, making the rich of Larkana richer is not the ideology of PPP but like Benazir Income Support Programs reflect the ideology of PPP.
When the Larkana poor get money, he spends it and the economy goes up, he said and added the PPP always comes with people-friendly projects.
This is the biggest revolution in the history of Pakistan, the PPP is transferring government assets to people.
The Chief Minister of Sindh will also give more houses to the people with owner rights, Bilawal said.
