PML-N leadership summons shortlisted MPAs for Punjab Cabinet expansion

Shortlisted assembly members for the Punjab Cabinet have been summoned to Lahore by the higher command of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to sources, these shortlisted members were summoned in connection with the government’s plan of expansion in the Punjab Cabinet.
Three assembly members from South Punjab were summoned for a meeting, sources said.
President PML-N Nawaz Sharif will meet with these MPAs tomorrow, sources added.
The names were also shortlisted for the chairmanship of parliamentary secretaries and standing committees of various departments of Punjab.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz will soon approve the appointments of parliamentary secretaries and chairpersons of standing committees.
Discontented leaders of the party will be given priority in the appointment of chairpersons of standing committees and parliamentary secretaries, sources said.
Assembly members of allied parties would also be included in parliamentary secretaries, sources concluded.
