A stepson along with two friends has been arrested for strangling his mother to death due to domestic disputes in Arifwala, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Monday.

According to the report, the Arifwala City Police have apprehended all three suspects and registered a case against them. 

The suspects include 24-year-old stepson Abdul Rehman and his friends Naqash and Sohaib.

Arifwala police sources said that after committing the murder, the suspects attempted to stage the scene as a suicide by placing wheat preservation pills in the deceased woman's mouth. 

The police sources said the accused had a plan to make it appear that his stepmother had committed suicide by taking wheat preservation pills.

However, when the woman's relatives arrived at the house, they noticed marks on her neck and immediately informed the police.
