Pakistan People’s Party Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto has come down hard on the leadership of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.
A family in Lahore has the history of being selected, Bilawal told the media at Jamaat-i-Islami Headquarters at Mansoora in Lahore on Monday.
Flanked by the JI chief Sirajul Haq, he said he and his party has never been selected. He raised questions about putting off the PDM long march scheduled to be held last month.
Preparations for the long march were complete; he said, adding that rooms were booked for the purpose. He questioned who raised the issue of resignations 10 days before taking out the long march.
He said Imran Khan will cash in on the rift in the alliance of opposition parties. In reply to a question on a tweet by PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz, the PPP chairperson said the PPP vice president would be told to comment on it.
Sirajul Haq thanks Bilawal for visiting JI headquarters
JI chief Sirajul Haq expressed gratitude to the PPP chairperson for visiting the party headquarters. He shed light on the importance of democracy and laid stressed on continuing democratic norms of holding dialogue for resolving issues.
The JI chief stressed the need for bringing in electoral reforms to ensuring holding fair polls. He insisted all the state organs must be free from political interference. He called for unity for the sake of prosperity. Siraj took a swipe at the ruling PTI for its failure to deliver.
