Yay or Nay: Naimal Khawar & Hania Aamir’s modern twist on 'abayas' stirs debate

Prominent Pakistani stars Hania Aamir and Naimal Khawar have been spotted transforming conventional 'abayas' (gowns) into fashionable attires which has unnecessarily managed to provoke serious debate sessions on all over social media.

It is quite well known that the ‘abaya’ is considered a modest attire usually worn with a detailed scarf or for the purpose of complete covering. However, many of the ladies have started dressing ‘abayas’ with style, through pairing them up with stylish Hijabs (scarfs) and captivating imprints with mesmerizing color combinations which are not acceptable for many.

Lately, Pakistani star Hania Amir has taken to her Instagram handle with some of her beautiful photographs in which the diva is seen dressed in a black modern fit (shirt & pants) which she decided to make stand out with a grey-colored loose-free fashionable gown to whom she named ‘abaya’: however, fans raised question over Hania’s decisions to name her fashionable wearing an ‘abaya’ as they consider ‘abaya’ has just single purpose of covering.

 

Moving on, on the other hand, Naimal Khawar has also been found in her latest photographs flaunting a blue colored outfit which is as per some estimations being used as an ‘Abaya’, crafted by popular brand ‘Saphire’ but thanks to her as she did not name her attire ‘Abaya’: however, many of the Internet users disapproved her decision to use an Abaya like a fashionable attire.
