Imran attacker sticks to first statement despite being interrogated thrice

Naveed, one who had fired shots at Imran Khan during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally in Wazirabad, stuck to his statement despite being interrogated by the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) thrice at different times, 24NewsHD TV channel Tuesday reported citing informed sources.

Each time, the nature of the questions had been changed. The accused was also questioned harshly during interrogation. However, he stood by his first day statement.

Sajid and Waqas, who had supplied weapon to the accused, were also questioned.

Naveed will be undergone a polygraph test to determine the lie in his statement.

It is to be noted here that more than 500 policemen were present there during the PTI’s long march.

In the next step of interrogation, the statements of the policemen will be recorded.
