Peshawar police foils bid to smuggle narcotics from Khyber

Peshawar police thwarted an attempt to smuggle a huge quantity of hashish, heroin and ice from Khyber to Hayatabad, Peshawar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Sources said that during routine patrolling, the police team intercepted a vehicle. A detailed examination of the vehicle led to the recovery of 1200 kilogrammes of hashish, three kilogrammes of heroin, and ice.
Police arrested the driver of the vehicle and seized the narcotics and also impounded the vehicle being used for transportation of these drugs.
