The eldest son of Vice President Pakistan Muslim League - N (PML-N) Maryam Nawaz and Capt Safdar Awan (retd) got married Sunday night with former Chairman National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) daughter Ayesha Saif.

According to details, the marriage ceremony took place in luxurious Lanesborough hotel of London where the groom clad in a black tuxedo with a bow tie, and a white pocket square signed the marriage agreement (Nikkah Nama) with Ayesha Saif who carried a tea-pink attire with a marvellous bridal embroidery intricately done all over the dress.

As per the recently released photos, the ceremony was attended by the former PML(N) president Nawaz Sharif - the grandfather of the groom, along with Hussain Nawaz - the uncle of the groom, and former Finance Minister of Pakistan Ishaq Dar along with most immediate family members and friends.

On the other hand, as Junaid Safdar’s Nikkah was solemnised, many protestors gathered at the entrance of the marriage hall to register resentments.

Former PML-N MPA Azma Zahid Bokhari, condemning the protests of youth outside marriage hall, stated on Twitter:

Moreover, Maryam Nawaz could not attend her son’s wedding and shared various pictures of son’s wedding on Twitter.

"May Allah always keep you happy and prosperous," she wrote.

Taking it to Twitter, she stated, "I was in jail when my beloved mother passed away and now I won't be able to share my son's happiness, but, I will NOT make any request to this government for travel abroad. I leave the matter to Almighty Allah".

Earlier this month, while sharing the invitation card to the event, Maryam had announced she will not be able to attend the ceremony, "owing to blatant victimisation, bogus cases and my name on ECL".

As per the details, the residence of Nawaz Sharif was decorated in wedding lights all over, as the drum-beat and wedding dances were performed in London similar festivity was carried out at Sharifs’ residence.

Many of the friends and family, took it Twitter and greeted the newly wedded couple with a long happy prosperous life ahead.
