Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said arrived on Tuesday in Qatari capital Doha on the invitation of Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. He is expected to sign a string of agreements during his visit, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In his tweets uploaded on Tuesday hours before he departed on a two-day visit of Qatar, Shehbaz Sharif said that the visit would renew the brotherly and friendly relations existing between the two countries. “We want to transform these bilateral relations into a more effective strategic partnership,” he added.

“In my interactions with my host country’s business community, I will inform them of attractive investment opportunities existing in Pakistan, especially in renewable energy, food security, the development of industrial infrastructure and tourism sector,” he informed.

The prime minister pointed out that it was important to understand the backdrop of this visit. “The world’s economy, which was hit by the coronavirus pandemic, is now recovering, while geo-political tensions have affected the chain of demand and supply,” he said, adding, “Common challenges demand that both the countries explore new avenues of cooperation.”
