Imaan Mazari gets bail in public properties damage case

Pronouncing a reserved verdict, a district and sessions court in Islamabad on Tuesday accepted the bail application of human rights lawyer and daughter of former PTI leader Shireen Mazari, Imaan Hazir Mazari, in the case of interference in official duty and causing damage to public properties in lieu of bail bonds of Rs30,000 each, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Two FIRs had been registered against Imaan and former member of the National Assembly (MNA) Ali Wazir belonging to the Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) at Tarnol police station of the federal capital.
The same court, however, send Wazir to Adiala Jail on judicial remand.
An anti-terrorism court in Islamabad had on Monday granted to the police three-day physical remand of Imaan Mazari and former lawmaker Ali Wazir in a sedition case.
Wazir was arrested on Saturday, while Imaan was picked up from her home in the early hours of Sunday.
Two first information reports (FIR) were registered against the two at Tarnol police station and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) police station on Saturday.
The arrests were made after both Imaan and Wazir made fiery anti-state institutions speeches at a public meeting, organised by the PTM in Islamabad.
