Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf leader and a close aide of PTI chairman Babar Awan has said that Imran Khan was in high spirits in jail and vowed that he could spend his whole in jail for the accomplishment of real freedom of the nation, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

Babar Awan was conveying the PTI Chairman’s message to media persons after having a one-hour-long meeting with Imran Khan in Attock prison on Wednesday.

Babar Awan said that Imran Khan told him that he got an opportunity to study in prison, which was not available under normal circumstances.

“I have almost finished the Holy Quran in English translation, read about the reign of Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA) and philosophy of Ibn Khaldun besides reading about Pakistan’s history,” Imran Khan added.

Babar Awan said that following the instruction of Imran Khan, he has filed an application to the Attock Jail superintendent to present him (Khan) before the court where his bail applications are pending.

Awan said that Imran Khan is being kept away not only from people but also from courts.
