DPO transferred, Govt announces Rs1 crore head money for dacoits involved in police attack

Punjab government has transferred District Police Officer (DPO) Rahim Yar Khan Imran Ahmed and two other key police officers in the wake of dacoits attack on police van which claimed the lives of 13 police officials, reproted 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the notification, DPO Imran Ahmed has been removed from the post and Rizwan Umar Gondal has been appointed as new DPO in the district.
The notification said Additional SP Rahim Yar Khan Javed Akhtar was ordered to report to the Central Police Office while DSP Organized Crime Rahim Yar Khan Kaleem Ahmed has been made OSD.
While, on the directives of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Punjab government has announced Rs1 crore head money for the arrest of most wanted dacoits who attacked police van in Rahim Yar Khan.
The head money has been fixed at Rs50 lakh and Rs25 lakh for various wanted dacoits. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has pledged that the terrorists involved in the martyrdom of police personnel will be taken to task.
Meanwhile, CM Maryam Nawaz commended the police team on consigning the notorious dacoit Bashir Shar to hell. The Chief Minister said, “We will make a firm resolve to purge the Katcha area from the dacoits and the Punjab government cannot forget the precious sacrifices of the police martyrs.”
On the direction of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Punjab Police by taking a swift action apprehended a gang involved in a rocket attack in the Katcha area of Rahim Yar Khan. The notorious leader of the gang dacoit Bashir Shar was shot down due to brisk action being taken by the police team. Five accomplices of dacoit Bashir Shar got badly injured. The injured dacoits included Sanaullah, Gada Ali, Kamlo Shar, Ramzan Shar and Gaddi.
