May 9 riots: Two PTI fugitives arrested outside RO office in Hazro

Police arrested two Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf fugitives outside the office of the returning officer (RO) in the Hazro tehsil of the Attock district.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, Muawiya Ali Zai and Nadeem Ishtiaq Bhatti were wanted in May 9 rioting-related cases.

The arrests were made when they along with Sheikh Ahsanuddin Advocate approached the RO office to submit nomination papers of PTI district president Qazi Ahmed Akbar for the PP-1 election. 

Qazi Ahmed Akbar has also been on the run since May 9 when the PTI members took to the streets to vent their spleen over the arrest of the party founder in a corruption case.

PTI mobs damaged public property, the state attacked the public property, state assets and sensitive installations and left a trail of devastation.
