ECP to consult and convey concerns to Opp on Elections Ordinance 

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Wednesday decided to consult with the political parties on the new amended ECP Ordinance and the chief election commissioner will write a letter to political parties’ heads regarding this, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Sources revealed that the ECP will invite leaders of various political parties to consult on the recent happenings and will formulate further strategy once the consultation will complete.

Sources also claimed that the ECP has decided to contact the government once again on the Election Ordinance.  

Pertinent to note that the ordinance amending the Elections Act has set off alarm bells at the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and in a meeting held at the ECP with Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja in the chair it was decided to convey concerns to opposition as well as to the government.
