Federal Government Thursday withdrew former Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ghulam Mahmood Dogar’s suspension notification, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Centre also suspended notification of the transfer of former CCPO Ghulam Mahmood Dogar from Punjab as well.

On the 17th of February, the Apex Court suspended the transfer notification of CCPO Dogar after a three-judge bench of the top court headed by Justice Ijazul Ahsan heard his plea challenging his transfer on Friday. During the proceedings, the court disposed of the case suspending the decision of the Punjab caretaker government regarding the transfer of the Lahore CCPO.

The bench announced that a larger five-judge bench of the apex court was hearing a case pertaining to transfers and postings in Punjab, adding that the bench was also forwarding this case to the larger bench.

After the suspension of CCPO’s transfer and suspension orders from the Punjab caretaker Government by Top Court, the Center has also acted accordingly.
