Centre sets in motion plan to ensure transparency in privatization, bidding

 The federal government has set in motion a plan to bring transparency to the process of privatisation and bidding.

According to sources, the prime minister issued directives to ensure media coverage of the process of privatisation and tenders

They added the Cabinet Division has sent letters to ministers, advisors, special assistants and other quarters concerned.

In the letter, the quarters concerned have been directed to implement the orders, the insiders maintained.

“All federal ministries, divisions and government institutions will be bound by the directives.”

The sources said the local and international bidding transactions will have media coverage.

There will be live media coverage of all bidding transactions related to privatization and public-private partnerships.
