Three people were killed and four sustained critical injuries in a firing incident at parking lot of tehsil courts Phalia on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Phalia is a tehsil of district Mandibahauddin.
The channel report said that firing incident took place at parking lot of tehsil courts Phalia in Sindhawala area. The reason behind killing of three people is old enmity. Two parties were in courts in connection with hearing of a case, when one of the party starting firing on other. The other party retaliated.
As a result of which three people were killed in cross firing between both parties. The people killed in firing incident include a driver, a passerby and the gatekeeper of tehsil courts. Four people were also injured in the firing.
The channel further reported that injured were in critical state and one of the wounded, Javed Iqbal, was referred to Gujrat.
A heavy contingent of police led by DPO Mandibahauddin rushed to the spot.
Rescue 1122 shifted the injured and the dead to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Phalia for treatment and medico-legal formalities.
Meanwhile, Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi has taken notice of the firing incident at Phalia kutchehry.
The chief minister has sought a report from Inspector General of Police Punjab into the firing incident.
The CM ordered that the accused must immediately be arrested to proceed with under the law.
No stone should be left unturned in dispensing justice to the heirs of the deceased, he further directed.
Three die over petty grudge in Sargodha
Three persons were killed Thursday in Hussainabad area of Sargodha due to a petty grudge.
Three residents of Hussainabad, the local area near Sargodha were killed in an armed clash. The reason of firing surfaced as a petty mutual dispute.
Among those killed included three members of a family namely: Zafar Iqbal Advocate, his mother and brother-in-law.
According to details, the police reached the spot and launched an investigation.
