CM Naqvi orders early completion of Lahore Ring Road’s southern loop

Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Syed Mohsin Naqvi visited the site of Lahore Ring Road’s Southern Loop 3 late Monday night and reviewed the progress made on the project so far, from Maraka to Adda Plot, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
He especially inspected work on the project from Maraka to Adda Plot.
The chief minister ordered speeding up work on the project.
Work on Babu Sabu toll plaza’s upgradation starts
On the other hand, on the instructions of the CM, work on the upgradation of Babu Sabu toll plaza has begun.
In order to view the construction of additional lanes on both sides of the toll plaza, he, accompanied by members of his cabinet and other officials, visited the project site early Tuesday morning and ordered speeding up the work so that the project could be completed early.
Briefing the chief minister, the FWO officials said that under the project, the route from Babu Sabu to the toll plaza would be widened due to which there would be no traffic jams.
They informed that the plaza would be shifted from the place where it currently stood.
Provincial Minister for Housing Azfar Ali Nasir, secretary housing, secretary construction and communication, commissioner Lahore and other officials were also present on the occasion.
CM Naqvi visits Old Capri Cinema at Liberty
The chief minister also went to Old Capri Cinema at Liberty Market in Lahore and ordered the removal of encroachments from inside as well as outside of the cinema.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the office of Punjab Arts Council would be built at the site of the cinema. “The area will be used for commercial purposes,” he added.
