Finance Minister leaves for China to discuss rescheduling of $14b energy loan

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb will leave China on a three-day visit today, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Quoting its sources, the channel reported that the minister would discuss with the Chinese officials the rescheduling of the $15 billion loan as demanded by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
A joint working group between Pakistan and China could also be formed for the purpose, they informed.
Matters related to China’s circular debt of $500 billion would also come under discussion during meetings between the minister and the host country’s officials.
Sources elaborated that Aurangzeb would also take up the matter of Panda Bonds in his meetings.
