Two policemen injured in explosion in Khyber

Two police personnel were injured when an explosive material went off near the checkpost in-charge’s vehicle in the mountainous area of district Khyber on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The cops, including the in-charge Khushhal Ameen, were shifted to a hospital.
Police said the condition of both cops was stable.
Soon after the incident, a heavy police contingent reached the site of the incident and launched a search operation.
Two injured in hand grenade attack in Khyber
A few hours earlier on Monday, 24News reported that two people were injured after some persons hurled a hand grenade at a petrol pump in Barra, district Khyber.
Both the injured were shifted to a hospital in Peshawar.
Police said that several vehicles were also damaged in the incident, while the area had been cordoned off in order to search for the assailants.
Incidents of terrorism are on the rise in some parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan for the last several months, prompting the government to launch a military operation in these areas.
