The Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly was dissolved on Tuesday and DIG (R) Mir Afzal was appointed caretaker chief minister of the province.
A notification in this regard was issued by the Gilgit-Baltistan Law Ministry with the signatures of the deputy secretary on law. The Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly completed its constitutional tenure on June 23.
